The X10 Sentinel can pan 280 degrees from left to right. Just like you might look both ways before crossing the street, so can the Sentinel scan surrounding areas to pick up activity in its peripheral vision. The Sentinel also has a horizontal field of view of 50 degrees. Add everything up, and the X10 Sentinel has a total panning view of 330 degrees.
