The X10 Sentinel PTZ Security Camera has a field of vision in the same sense that you and I do. The horizontal field of view refers to how far it can look left and right without physically moving, similar to the way you can scan a room with your eyes without moving your head. The Sentinel's field of view is 50 degrees when stationary. The camera is able to pan 280 degrees left to right. Combine everything, and the X10 Sentinel has a total horizontal viewing area of 330 degrees.

This means that, depending on where you mount the camera, you can have the same view of the room that you could get from standing right there and looking around. No matter where you're watching from, it really is just like being there!
